(I have excerpted relevant bits from the following article from the editorial page of the New York Times. A friend of mine from another state, who is one of those people that do not qualify for Medicaid/Medicare, and who cannot afford private health insurance is being made to wait until July to see if she "qualifies" for a special program.  ( Read more... )
